Every empty gas bottle, from report to delivery
An empty bottle is reported for a unit, whoever handles gas accepts it and confirms the delivery. Each delivery stays in the unit’s history and in the owner’s costs.
From report to delivery
A report is linked to a unit and says what the bottle is for: the unit, the grill or another option the campsite adds in its settings. If an open report already exists for the same thing, Camppy warns you and does not create a second one.
The person delivering accepts the report and confirms the delivery when the bottle is in place, with who delivered it and how many bottles. A report shows only its stage, Open or In progress, and how long it has been waiting.
- If nobody accepts a report within 30 working minutes, the people who deliver gas get one reminder.
- A report made by mistake can be cancelled, with a reason.
- A delivery made without a report in the app can be recorded afterwards, with its date.
Who reports and who delivers
An empty bottle is reported by the unit’s owner, by the office (administrator, including reception) or by a supervisor. The campsite chooses who handles deliveries: roles or named people. Who sees the reports and who delivers are set separately.
A strip at the top of the gas page shows how many reports are waiting, how many are in progress and in which units a guest is staying. A click filters the list. Someone limited to certain locations or buildings sees, accepts and is notified only about gas for those units.
Owners report from their portal
With the owner portal, owners report an empty bottle for their own units and can cancel their own request. When the bottle is delivered, the owner is notified; this can be switched off for an individual unit.
The price of a gas bottle is set in the campsite settings. Recorded deliveries count as costs of the unit and appear in the owner’s statement next to cleaning, maintenance and services.
History and the gas report
Each unit has its delivery history: when gas was delivered, how much and at what price. On the gas page you choose the period for past deliveries.
The gas report shows deliveries, bottles, the time from report to delivery and reports nobody accepted in time. A completed delivery cannot be deleted, so the history and owner statements stay complete. Gas records can be exported as CSV.
About gas bottles
Who can report an empty bottle?
The unit’s owner through the owner portal, the office (administrator, including reception) and supervisors. The campsite decides who handles deliveries.
Can two people report the same bottle twice?
No. If an open report already exists for the same unit and the same purpose, for example the grill, Camppy shows a warning and a new report cannot be created.
Does gas go into the owner’s costs?
Yes. Each recorded delivery is a cost of the unit at the bottle price set for the campsite, and the owner sees it in their statement for the month.
