For reception

Know the unit is ready without a phone call

The guest is at the desk and asks for the key. Reception sees on the Today dashboard whether the unit is ready, and if it is not, where it stands and who is on it.

Today’s arrivals at a glance

At the top of the Today dashboard is the readiness strip: how many of today’s units are done, the status of the rest, which units put an arrival at risk and how much time is left until check-in. A click narrows the plan to one status or to the units with a problem.

Each unit in the plan carries its preparation status, such as “Awaiting cleaning”, “Cleaning in progress”, “Awaiting check” or “Guest-ready”. A unit ready from earlier, where a guest simply arrives, is not on the plan, so the list holds only what still needs work.

When something in the unit is not right

If the cleaning team finds a fault that only stops the guest from moving in, such as a light bulb, the cleaning is finished and the unit shows “Awaiting repair” until the next guest’s check-in. If the guest cannot wait, reception can hand the unit over before the repair; the task stays open.

Next to the plan are the open tasks that affect guests today: an empty gas bottle or a fault in a unit where a guest is staying or arriving, with who is handling each one. Reception can also report an empty gas bottle for a unit.

Bookings and special requests

Reception works as an administrator in Camppy, so it can enter and edit bookings: guest, unit, dates and status. Bookings can also come from the PMS or channel manager you already use, a connection we set up with you during onboarding, or be imported with an iCal link.

A cot or other extras are chosen on the booking and go to the cleaning that prepares the unit for that guest, so the team knows what to set up before the arrival.

Questions

Questions reception asks

Does reception need its own role in Camppy?

No. Reception works as an administrator and sees the same Today dashboard as the manager.

How do we know a unit has passed inspection?

Where a cleaning type requires inspection, the unit becomes “Guest-ready” only after an inspector or administrator confirms it. Until then it shows “Awaiting check”.

Can a guest move in before a repair is done?

Yes. Reception can hand the unit over to the guests before the repair, and the repair task stays open.
