FAQ

Questions to ask before you decide

How do bookings get into Camppy?

Camppy connects to the PMS or channel manager you already use, and we set up the connection with you during onboarding. Bookings can also be imported from an iCal link, and individual bookings, such as an owner stay, can be added by hand. From arrivals and departures, Camppy creates the cleanings you need; the manager reviews them on the schedule and moves them where needed.

Do we have to move our whole operation at once?

No. You can start with units, bookings and the cleaning schedule, then add tasks, the owner portal, gas tracking and reports later.

What do cleaners need to use it?

A phone and a browser. Camppy installs from the browser as an app, without an app store or lengthy training. A cleaner opens it and sees only their own list for today.

Does Camppy work without an internet connection?

Data already loaded on the device can be viewed without a connection. Supported changes made offline wait and are sent once the connection is back, with the sync status visible. Photos taken without signal wait on the device and are sent when the connection returns.

Who decides which team cleans which unit?

The manager. With automatic assignment switched on, Camppy picks a team for each new cleaning based on the unit's zone and how busy the teams are that day, and the manager can move any cleaning that has not started on the board. Camppy does not change a team chosen by hand.

How does reception know a unit is ready?

The dashboard shows how many units are ready for today's arrivals, and the plan underneath gives each unit a prep status, such as “Awaiting cleaning”, “Cleaning in progress”, “Awaiting check” or “Guest-ready”.

What happens when a cleaner finds a fault in a unit?

They report the problem from their phone and choose a reason: defect, missing linen, damage or other. The cleaning stays blocked until the problem is marked as resolved, and for a defect or damage the manager creates a maintenance task from the cleaning schedule.

Can one unit have more than one owner?

Yes. A single unit can belong to several owners. Each of them signs in and sees only their own units, bookings and statements — never each other's.

Does Camppy work for apartments too?

Yes. Camppy was born on a campsite, but it works for any accommodation with guest turnovers, including holiday rental apartments.

How is our data kept separate from other camps?

At the database level. Separation per camp is enforced by row-level security in PostgreSQL — a rule inside the database itself that applies to every request and every role, not a filter in the app.

What languages does the interface support?

Croatian, English, Slovene, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Ukrainian, Albanian, Nepali and Filipino. Language is set per user, so a manager can work in English while each team member works in their own language.

How are units billed?

You pay the number of accommodation units times the price per unit. If you add the owner portal, the price per unit goes up by the add-on amount.

Do you charge for every employee?

No. The subscription includes unlimited users: reception, managers, supervisors, technicians and the field team.

What if we manage several campsites?

All accommodation units under the same contract are billed together, with no extra subscription per campsite. If you have one campsite with 30 units and one with 50, you pay for 80 units. You switch between campsites from the same account.

What does setup include?

For our first customers, standard onboarding is included with a 12-month contract, whether you pay monthly or annually. We help you prepare your accommodation units, set up the basic processes and introduce your team to the app. More complex migrations and customisations are agreed separately.

What if we are not satisfied?

You get your money back. If Camppy isn’t right for you, tell us within the first month and we refund the full subscription amount you paid. The month starts on the day Camppy is set up and your team starts working in it, not on the day you pay. The guarantee applies to a new customer’s first season.
