For technicians

Maintenance on its own list, apart from cleaning

A technician does not need the cleaning board. In Camppy you open your own tasks and see which one is late, which unit has a guest in it and which arrival is waiting for your repair.

Your tasks, by due date

The technician’s home screen is “My tasks”, with gas deliveries waiting below it when you handle gas. On the Tasks page open tasks form one list by due date, grouped into Late, Today, Tomorrow, Later and No due date.

Each task shows how late it is, what was reported, whether the unit is ready for guests and whether a guest is in it or arriving today. Tasks are routine, important or critical, so you know what comes first.

Problems reported from cleanings

When a cleaning team reports a fault or damage, the report opens a task. It says what the problem stops: nothing urgent, guest readiness or the cleaning itself. Photos the team took go with the task, so you see what they found before you get there.

If the problem stops the cleaning, the cleaning waits until you finish the task, and the team is told it can carry on. If it only stops the arrival, the unit shows “Awaiting repair” and the next guest’s check-in is your deadline.

  • A new task can suggest the maintenance team that works on that unit, with its zone team first; the site decides whether that is confirmed by hand or assigned automatically.
  • Until the task is finished, you can correct the reason, the description and what the problem stops.
  • If the site allows it, you can open a task for any unit yourself and choose who does it.

Gas deliveries

Whoever handles gas sees the requests, takes one over and confirms the delivery with the quantity. Empty bottles are reported by owners, administrators, inspectors and gas handlers. If nobody takes a request within 30 working minutes, gas handlers get one reminder.

A technician limited to certain locations or buildings sees, takes over and is notified about gas only for those units. Prices are not shown to technicians.

Questions

Questions technicians ask

Do maintenance tasks have checklists?

No. Checklists belong to cleanings, by cleaning type. A maintenance task has a description, a priority, a due date and, where the task type asks for them, photos.

What if our site has no technician?

The technician role can be switched off. Gas and maintenance tasks then stay available to the other roles allowed to do them, such as cleaners or administrators.
